Dr. Ann Marie Joyce received her medical degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway, followed by residency training at Lahey Clinic. She completed her gastroenterology fellowship at Lahey Clinic and subsequently completed an advanced endoscopy fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. After completing her fellowship training, Dr. Joyce joined the faculty at Lahey Clinic, where she specialized in advanced endoscopy and served as Director of Endoscopy.

With more than 20 years of experience in gastroenterology, Dr. Joyce joined Newton-Wellesley Hospital in 2026. She provides comprehensive care for a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and preventive colorectal cancer screening. Her clinical interests include Barrett’s esophagus, screening and surveillance of patients with hereditary cancer syndromes, pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, disorders of the hepatobiliary system, and complex therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Joyce remains actively involved in medical education as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. She is board-certified in gastroenterology.
