Gastroenterologist

Dr. Vera Denmark received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, followed by residency in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center.  She completed her gastroenterology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.  Upon completing her fellowship, Dr. Denmark joined the faculty at Mount Sinai where she conducted laboratory bench research in inflammatory bowel disease and served as a teaching attending on the inflammatory bowel disease service. She joined the faculty at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in 2013 as the first Medical Director of Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research. She is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
